摘要

本文主要研究人工智能技术在视觉传达设计中的应用及影响。视觉传达设计源自平面设计,融合了多种新媒体形式,展现出多元且丰富的特性。从原来对文字、图片在平面空间中进行编排,到近年来逐步向立体化、动态化、系统化发展,视觉传达一直是一个积极采用新技术、跨界融合发展的专业。人工智能技术起源于20世纪四五十年代,目前正处于以深度学习神经网络为核心的第三次蓬勃发展时期。随着人工智能技术广泛渗透到各个行业,视觉传达设计也受到影响。 本文系统性地梳理了人工智能技术在视觉传达设计领域的应用现状,并分析了其对视觉传达设计各方面的影响。具体来说,在图像生成、字体设计、标志设计以及编排设计等方面,人工智能技术已经发展出了一系列具有针对性的技术和工具,并在近几年来产生了大量的应用案例。人工智能不仅极大地提高了设计师的工作效率,使得复杂的大规模个性化设计项目得以自动化完成,此外,人工智能还是功能强大的分析工具,可以辅助设计师探索设计趋势,并辅助决策。虽然人工智能可以辅助设计师完成不同类型的设计任务,但缺少处理简单结构关系间的巧思、真实项目落地所要求的细节调整能力,以及主动创造需求的能力,因此人工智能无法代替设计师的工作。然而,人工智能确实深刻影响着视觉传达设计的不同方面,对设计思维、设计方法、设计实践、设计师的发展等方面都造成了影响,因此,本文从更宏观的角度探讨人工智能参与下视觉传达范式的变化,归纳总结出暴力设计、模糊设计、泛在设计三种新范式。其中,暴力设计通过生成大量设计方案来替代专家直觉;模糊设计则借助机器学习迭代优化,解决结构上的不合理问题;而泛在设计则通过多模态数据处理,实现对设计问题的全面解决。本文深入探讨了人工智能技术在视觉传达设计领域的影响,并从理论层面对视觉传达设计的范式进行了系统的归纳和整理。不仅揭示了人工智能如何改变设计实践,也为视觉传达设计师在面对人工智能带来的挑战时,提供了新的创作思路和实践方向。在技术不断进步的今天,理解技术特性,以前瞻性的视角审视未来,是我们从容应对技术变革、把握专业发展主动权的必要条件。

This paper primarily explores the application and impact of artificial intelligence technology in the field of visual communication design. Visual communication design, originated from graphic design, integrates various new media forms, demonstrating diverse and rich characteristics. From the original arrangement of text and images in flat space to the gradual development towards three-dimensional, dynamic, and systematic in recent years, visual communication has always been a profession actively adopting new technologies and cross-border integration. Artificial intelligence technology originated in the 1940s and 1950s and is currently in its third booming development period centered around deep learning neural networks. As artificial intelligence technology is widely penetrating various industries, visual communication design is also being affected.This paper systematically sorts out the current application status of artificial intelligence technology in the field of visual communication design and analyzes its impact on various aspects of visual communication design. Specifically, in image generation, font design, logo design, and layout design, artificial intelligence technology has developed a series of targeted technologies and tools and has generated numerous application cases in recent years. Artificial intelligence not only greatly improves the work efficiency of designers, enabling complex large-scale personalized design projects to be completed automatically, but it also serves as a powerful analytical tool that can assist designers in exploring design trends and assisting decision-making.Although artificial intelligence can assist designers in completing different types of design tasks, it lacks the ability to manipulate clever ideas in simple structural relationships, adjust details required for real project implementation, and create demands proactively, so it cannot replace the work of designers. However, artificial intelligence indeed profoundly influences different aspects of visual communication design and has impacts on design thinking, design methods, design practice, and the development of designers. Therefore, this paper discusses changes in the visual communication paradigm under the participation of artificial intelligence from a more macro perspective, summarizing brute-force design, fuzzy design, and ubiquitous design as three new paradigms. Among them, brute-force design replaces expert intuition by generating a large number of design schemes; fuzzy design uses machine learning iterative optimization to solve structural problems; while ubiquitous design achieves comprehensive solutions to design problems through multimodal data processing.This paper delves into the impact of artificial intelligence technology in the field of visual communication design and systematically summarizes and sorts out the paradigms of visual communication design from a theoretical level. It not only reveals how artificial intelligence changes design practices but also provides new creative ideas and practical directions for visual communication designers facing challenges brought about by artificial intelligence. In today's era of continuous technological advancement, understanding technological characteristics and looking at the future with a forward-looking perspective is a necessary condition for us to calmly cope with technological changes and grasp the initiative of professional development.
