Ancient Chinese rituals were constructed as fields of memory through multiple elements such as architecture, timing, sound, lighting, and olfaction. Among these, sound, as an important element in shaping the ritual scene, has an undeniable impact on the buildings, objects, ritual procedures, and specific behaviors of the participants in the environment. This study aims to analyze the "rites and music" in the "Great Sacrificial Ceremony to Heaven" during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, by combining the theoretical framework of soundscape studies, and to provide a comprehensive interpretation and reconstruction of the physical sound environment of the ritual, the interaction between ritual behaviors, and the cultural perceptual associations through contemporary artistic design techniques. This paper first analyzes and verifies the background, process, and venue of the Heaven-worshipping ceremony, narrowing the focus to the "main sacrifice" activities of the Heaven-worshipping ceremony during the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. Subsequently, the paper discusses the role of ritual music in shaping the ritual scene from the aspects of time, space, and behavior by integrating the three key dimensions of soundscape studies: acoustic simulation, musical chapters and imperial behavior, and poetic imagery prototypes. Finally, by combining digital sound simulation and new media imagery techniques, the paper reconstructs the design of the Heaven-worshipping ceremony and reinterprets the imagery culture from three dimensions, making the soundscape space audible, visible, and perceptible.
