Starting from the phenomenon of group polarization in Internet gender issues, this study selects "Tangshan beating Incident" as a case, based on the Theory of Collective Action Frames, and studies the phenomenon of polarization through the method of frame analysis,so as to clarify the disputes and divisions in gender issues in recent years. This research focuses on two core research questions: (1) what kind of gender discourse and anti-gender discourse are presented in online gender issues; (2) How are these discourses constructed and interacted? The polarization phenomenon is discussed from these two problems. Aiming at different research problems, this paper divides the research design into two parts:text frame analysis and discourse structure analysis. Firstly, through the quantitative analysis of the relevant content on Weibo platform, gender discussion is summarized into eight expression frameworks. At the same time, the corresponding Weibo comment attitudes under different frameworks were coded to investigate the overall attitude distribution and degree of polarization. Secondly, using structure analysis, starting with the concept of "core framing task", through the analysis of "discourse process", "strategic process" and "controversial process", this paper examines the construction strategies of gender discourse, explores the interaction process of different discourse, and summarizes its characteristics and context. The research has three main findings. First, from the general distribution of public opinion, the polarization of gender issues is not obvious, but the degree of polarization between different frameworks is significantly different. Second, the online gender discourse based on the cases studied in this paper is mainly a set of defiant discourse built around the framework of injustice, and shows a trend of narrowing and singleness. Thirdly, by exploring the interactive process of gender and anti-gender discourse, it is concluded that the polarization phenomenon is not determined by the differences of different ideas, but is related to the competition for explanatory frames among different frames.
