伴随位置媒介的兴起及技术具身化趋势的加强,增强现实技术使得人类感知空间的方式发生深刻变化,建立出新型的“拟态环境”,即一种被增强的空间。在增强现实概念及其支持技术的发展下,它为文本、图片、音频和视频等表现技术的融合提供了新的平台,可以在不改变现有物质环境的基础上,重新叠加虚拟的信息图层,从而突破对历史文化空间的保护性开发限制,创造出新的空间关系、空间体验及空间叙事。本文沿着从技术到媒介,从媒介到叙事,从叙事到设计的思维路径,将历史文化空间增强现实叙事研究划分为三个部分。第一部分是增强现实概念的空间媒介观研究。本文首先站在“媒介考古”的角度将增强现实的媒介发展历程界定在玩具、镜子和艺术三个阶段,其次重新阐释了增强现实技术背景下“媒介”与“空间”之间的关系,认为“空间的再媒介化”是增强现实技术实现认知转向的核心理念基础,再次提出了增强空间的概念定义,将其特点划定为空间的重叠性、视觉的透明性和互动的弥漫性。第二部分是增强现实叙事框架的研究。本文以“增强现实”作为重新理解“叙事”的新框架,着重讨论了增强现实技术在“沉浸诗学”与“交互诗学”之间所形成的间性结构。此后,本文回到叙事学的本源,由表层的叙事交流模式和里层的叙事三分法,建立了增强现实媒介的间性叙事逻辑,提出了外层叙事、中层叙事与内层叙事的三个理论路径。第三部分是历史文化空间的增强现实叙事设计研究。本文通过将历史文化空间的“现实域”与数字媒介空间的“虚拟象”相互叠加,从而形成增强现实空间的“叠加态”,进而实现从真实的“人-物-场”向增强的“人摹-物摹-场摹”的要素转译,最终经由外层叙事、中层叙事、内层叙事及混合叙事的逻辑生成,实现了历史文化空间从“空间”到“地方”的叙事转向。整体而言,历史文化空间的增强现实叙事研究并不是一个理论终点,而是关于“增强空间”的理论起点。在这个过程中,增强现实技术将不断更新迭代,与增强现实相关的空间议题将延伸到更广阔的领域,而增强现实叙事也将在间性叙事三分法逻辑下朝着更加完整的叙事路径不断发展。
As the location-based media rises and the technology embodiment trend prevails, augmented reality technology has led to profound changes in the way humans perceive space, establishing a new type of “Pseudo—environment”, an augmented space. With the development of the augmented reality concept and its supporting technologies, augmented reality provides a new platform for performance technologies such as text, images, audio and video to integrate, which can re-layer virtual information without changing the existing physical environment. In this way, it not only achieves the aim of protect historical and cultural space but also breaks through the protective limitation of such space by creating new spatial relationships, spatial experience, and spatial narratives. Following the path of thinking from technology to medium, from medium to narrative, and from narrative to design, this paper divides the study of augmented reality narratives in historical and cultural space into three parts.The first part studies the augmented reality concept from the spatial media view. This part firstly adopts a media archaeology perspective to define the media development of augmented reality into three stages: toys, mirrors, and art. Then it reinterprets the relationship between “media” and “space” in the context of augmented reality technology. Meanwhile, “remediation” is regarded as the core conceptual basis for augmented reality technology to realize a cognitive shift, and the definition of augmented space is brought up again and its traits concludes as overlapping space, transparent vision, and diffusive interaction.The second part studies augmented reality as a new narrative framework. This part uses “augmented reality” as a new framework for reconceptualizing “narrative”, and focuses on the interpoetic structure that augmented reality technology creates between “immersive poetics” and “interactive poetics”. After that, this part returns to the origin of narrative, and establishes the internarrative logic of augmented reality media consisting of the surface narrative communication model and the inner narrative trichotomy, and proposes three theoretical paths of external narrative, intermediate narrative and internal narrative.The third part studies the augmented reality narrative design of historical and cultural space. In this part, by superimposing the real-life domain of historical and cultural space with virtual images of digital media space, a superposition of augmented reality space is formed. This superimposition realizes the translation of elements from the real “Person – Object – Field” to the augmented “NPC– Physicon – Simulation Environment” and finally achieves the narrative shift from “space” to “place” through the logical generation of external narrative, intermediate narrative, internal narrative, and hybrid narrative.All in all, the study of the augmented reality narrative of historical and cultural space is rather a theoretical starting point than an end. While more and more scholars crowded in, augmented reality technologies will be constantly updated and iterated, and the space issues related to augmented reality will be extended to wider-ranging fields. Therewith, augmented reality narrative will also flourish, under the logic of inter-narrative trichotomy, toward a more comprehensive path.
