After painstaking exploration, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has created a correct path with Chinese characteristics for solving the ethnic issue. Xi Jinping's important discourse on national unity in the new era is derived from Marxist theory of national unity, rooted in the excellent Chinese traditional culture and nurtured by the great practice of the CPC's century-long struggle. It is the latest achievement of the localization of Marxist ethnic theory in China and the fundamental guideline for China’s ethnic unity work in the new era, contributing Chinese wisdom and providing Chinese solutions to the world’s ethnic problems. Xinjiang is a multi-ethnic region where various ethnic groups flourish and thrive. Since the 18th Party Congress, the work of ethnic unity in Xinjiang has entered a new period of comprehensive strengthening and high-quality development. General Secretary Xi Jinping, who has always been concerned about the people of Xinjiang and attached great importance to the work in Xinjiang, delivered an important speech at the Third Central Symposium on Xinjiang Work, analyzing the situation and tasks faced, systematically expounding the Party's strategy for governing Xinjiang in the new era, and making comprehensive plans for key tasks such as firmly holding the general goal of Xinjiang work and casting a firm sense of the Chinese national community, thus promoting the ethnic work in Xinjiang in the new era to a new level.
