中国是世界第二大保险市场,中国的保险科技也处在高速蓬勃发展阶段。然而相较银行业和证券业,我国的保险公司仍较为传统,对技术的应用仍较为保守。就保险业的体量、基础地位、对于其它产业的影响程度及其应用场景的丰富性等来看,技术应用发展的生存空间非常广阔。同时中国保险深度和保险密度仍有较大的提升空间,科技的利用利于保险的普及从而提高中国保险市场成熟度。因此有理由认为,在未来数年内保险科技领域将有巨大的融资机遇和优秀融资标的诞生。在科技的赋能下,保险行业的创新发展总体上进入了新阶段。从我国保险公司的发展状况来看,财产险业务的技术创新与发展较快。对互联网保险公司来说,由于财产险产品销售的保险期限相对较短、保险金额与费用相对少、产品设计与承保相对容易,这些产品销售都存在着刚性要求,这均导致了财产险公司,尤其是机动车辆保险的电网销开始较早,且发展较快。财产险行业在生产、销售和核保,以及索赔、服务和反诈骗等,都具有很大的信息化需求。同时在科学技术的赋能下,能够做到更好地控制经营风险、降费增收,从而使得未来收益变现的方式与能力提高,所以,在行业整体盈利压力很大的背景下,保险公司加强对科学技术创新的支持力度,并获得良好的效果成效。在此背景下,研究梳理保险科技在财产险领域应用现状,探究科技赋能财产险对国民经济及民众生活的意义,对于科技赋能保险行业促进传统险企实现数字化转型有参考性意义,同时便于云启资本布局保险科技赛道。本文拟从理论、行业现状、案例层面梳理保险科技行业,首先从学术层面上研究了海内外学者关于保险科技和财产险方面的研究,随后研究了保险科技的基本概念和国内的行业现状,并从国内外挑选了Lemonade、众安在内的4家企业作为案例,从公开信息层面进行研究,了解目前领先的保险科技赋能财产险的业务模式、运用技术和社会意义。通过理论、行业、案例的研究,本文对保险科技的未来发展提出了几点展望,也对保险科技赛道参与主体提出了几点建议。本文认为传统财产险公司要积极拥抱科技,发展科技相关业务;保险公司和第三方机构都要增强对数据的重视,提升数据储存、分析能力;监管要加强力度,全面防范市场风险。对于行业未来的发展,本文认为保险服务将向全面移动化转型,保险营销将向线上线下结合发展,保险全流程将会实现数字化线上化,非车险领域保费增长会进一步提速。
InsurTech has ushered in a new era of development. As far as Internet insurance is concerned, the insurance period of property insurance products is short, the insurance amount and premium are small, the products and underwriting are simple, and some products have rigid demand, which makes the power grid sales of property insurance, especially auto insurance, start earlier and develop faster. In terms of property insurance business, there are large “value depressions” in terms of products, marketing and underwriting, claims settlement, services and anti-fraud, and the “value realization” ability of science and technology is strong. Therefore, under the background of great profit pressure in the industry, insurance companies have increased investment in scientific and technological innovation and achieved good results. In this context, it is of great benefit to study and sort out the application status of insurance technology in the field of property insurance, and explore the changes of technology enabled property insurance to the society.This paper intends to sort out the insurance technology industry from the aspects of theory, industry status and cases. Firstly, it studies the research on insurance technology and property insurance by scholars at home and abroad from the academic level. Then it demonstrates the basic concept of insurance technology and the current situation of the industry at home and abroad. Moreover, this paper selects four enterprises including lemonade and Zhongan as cases to study, trying to illustrate the firms’ business model, technology application roadmap and the influence of the leading technology-enabled property insurance. This paper holds that traditional property insurance companies should actively embrace science and technology and develop science and technology related business; Insurance companies and third-party institutions should pay more attention to data and improve their data storage and analysis capabilities. For the future development of the industry, this paper believes that insurance services will be transformed into comprehensive mobility, insurance marketing will be combined online and offline, the whole insurance process will be digitized online, and the premium growth in the field of non-auto insurance will be further accelerated.
