These can be known: the inspection system has a long history; rooted in the changes of the tasks of the times, the inspection system gradually realizes the variation from the leadership attribute to the supervision attribute, and plays an important role in maintaining the party’s leadership core position. As far as the origin of the inspection system is concerned, the historical experience of the inspection system in ancient China provides a local reference for the formation of the inspection system of the Communist Party of China. The Marxist party supervision concept and system essence provide the class core for the formation of the inspection system of the Communist Party of China. As far as the system evolution of the inspection system is concerned, the inspection system has realized the transformation from the leadership attribute to the supervision attribute in the process of fulfilling the mission entrusted by the times over the century since the founding of the party. During the period of the new democratic revolution and socialist construction, the inspection system was a leadership system. Its weak supervisory attribute is an extension of the leadership attribute. From reform and opening to the new era, the inspection system has completed the shift from a leadership system to a supervisory system. Since the new era, the inspection system has achieved the finalization of the supervision system, and has embodied and consolidated the party’s core leadership position by strengthening the supervision attributes. Here, in order to cope with the transformation of institutional tasks and institutional attributes, the operating mechanism of the inspection system has been reconstructed and deepened from the leadership mechanism to the supervision mechanism.
