摘要

鸟图腾崇拜在上古中国曾一度居于图腾信仰的核心地位,有据可考的鸟图腾艺术在时间上历经了近6000年,在空间上跨越了大半个中国,鸟图腾是中国最重要的图腾艺术之一。中国是世界上唯一历史延绵数千年而未中断的文明古国,由鸟图腾信仰形成的长期向心的、凝聚式的核心源动力在中华文明的起源和发展乃至大国统一的进程中都起到了举足轻重的作用。本研究从中国文化整体观的角度出发并借助跨学科的研究方法对上古中国鸟图腾艺术的发展与演变进行了全面的梳理,较为完整地展现了上古中国鸟图腾艺术的面貌。上古中国鸟图腾艺术在造型、纹饰方面的发展是连续的、未间断的,它与中国文化的发展同根同源、一脉相承。有据可考的中国鸟图腾艺术开始于新石器时代早期,衰落于东周末期,其发展过程跨越了几乎整个新石器时代和青铜时代。本研究对鸟图腾的起源、发展及消亡的过程做了全面性的分析,梳理出了一条较为清晰的新石器时代鸟图腾艺术发展脉络,并发现了鸟图腾艺术的传播路径。全文详细阐述了新石器时代和青铜时代中各主要文化时期的鸟图腾艺术的视觉形式和造型特点,并对各个时期鸟图腾艺术的历史渊源、艺术特征和演变规律进行了分析、归纳和总结,其中还阐述了汉字的起源与鸟图腾的关系。本文采用文献研究与实物考证相结合的方法,并辅以图像学、分类比较和跨学科等研究方法,重点论述了鸟图腾艺术从新石器时代原始图腾符号阶段向青铜时代图腾装饰艺术阶段演化的过程,并阐述了不同阶段鸟图腾的功能与内涵以及由此产生的价值与意义。最后探究和论述了上古中国鸟图腾艺术的思想观念及美学价值对现当代文化艺术的影响与启发。鸟图腾艺术对中国文化艺术、哲学思想乃至中华人文精神的形成都产生了深远的影响。它是一种视觉符号,更是一种文化符号,源于上古图腾时期的传统文脉已成为中国现当代艺术理论与实践的重要根基,希望本研究能起到抛砖引玉的作用,对中国鸟图腾艺术研究的深入开展有所贡献,并对现当代艺术设计的创作有所启发。

Bird totem worship once occupied the core position of the totem faith in ancient China. It is a visual symbol and a cultural symbol.
