摘要

本论文的研究对象是山西高平开化寺大雄宝殿内檐宋式彩画。论文在建筑学和艺术史的双重视角下,进一步认识和阐释宋代建筑彩画的意义和价值。首先,本文延续传统建筑装饰领域的基础研究方法,全面而系统地记录彩画的现状信息,并对彩画的纹样形制、施绘色彩进行辨析和整理,制图还原开化寺大雄宝殿的整体彩画效果;其次,在分析归纳纹样的形制特征的基础上对其进一步拆解,发掘纹样形式的构成规律和纹样与大殿建筑结构间的尺度关系,从而还原开化寺大雄宝殿彩画的设计思路;最后将开化寺大雄宝殿彩画置于时空背景中,一方面通过视觉心理学的方法分析彩画的观看模式、视觉特征和效果,另一方面解读和剖析大雄宝殿的壁画、碑文和建筑本体,发掘大殿的深层的叙事内涵。双管齐下,探究彩画在空间意义营造与表达中的辅助作用和具体途径,从而进一步确立开化寺大雄宝殿内檐彩画的总体价值。

The thesis focuses on the Song-style interior polychromatic decoration of the main hall of Kaihua temple, Gaoping county, Shanxi province. Directed by the dual-perspectives of architectural theory and art history, this paper is aimed at further introducing and interpreting the meaning and significance of the decoration.Firstly, this research inherits the basic methods of traditional architectural decoration study. Primary methods carried out are documenting the current condition of the decoration both thoroughly and systematically, identifying the form and color of the pattern, and restoring the original atmospheric effect of the decoration as a whole piece by means of digital reproduction.Secondly, by further disassembling the pattern based on a careful analysis of its configurational characteristics, the thesis explores the potential rule of formation of the pattern and the dimensional relationship between the pattern and the tectonics of the whole structure. By doing so, the thesis thus sets forth a possible process for designing the polychromatic decoration.Finally, a two-pronged approach is used within a spatial and temporal context. One is to analyze the mode of viewing, visual characteristics and effects of the decoration through means and theories of psychology of perception. The other is to dissect the mural painting, the inscription of the stone tablet and the structure in order to figure out the narrative of the hall itself. This process contributes to objectively assess the subsidiary role of the polychromatic decoration in developing and conveying the intention of the space, thereby the total value of the polychromatic decoration could be rightfully recognized.
