Human-animal relationship is an important part of human-nature relationship. Since Peter Singer's publication of Animal Libration in 1975,the discussion of animal ethics in Western academic circles has been enriched and deepened,.animal ethics can be said to have entered the second or third wave. Discussions about the moral status and legal status of animals have accumulated a large amount of literature in the past half century, but work on the political status of animals are still rare.“Zoopolis” co-constructed by Sue Donaldson and Will Kymlicka is one of the most important contributions. This theory systematically discusses the political status of animals and has distinctive characteristics:it is a relational and group-differentiated animal ethics theory. This study selects the part that involves domesticated animals as the main discussion object. While combing the meaning of “citizenship” in political theory, it also dialogues with the abolitionist position of classical animal rights theory to answer the question of how the citizenship of domesticated animals is possible and why it is necessary。This paper argues that the theoretical construction of "animal politics" not only greatly expands the horizon of animal ethics, but also prompts us to have a new understandings of citizenship, agency. The absorption of theoretical resources from disabilitiy rights theory and the children's rights theory will also promote the intersection of the three movements. It will also inspire more work that relate animal issues with the core concepts of political theory.
