民用无人机行业是中国领先世界发达国家的代表性高端制造业,大疆是行业内的龙头企业。研究大疆的企业创新生态系统及其发展演化历程,有助于理解高科技产业发展的成功因素,可以在创新管理方面为本土企业提供启示。文章以民用无人机行业领先企业大疆公司为案例,研究了民用无人机企业创新生态系统的组成和演化。研究发现大疆企业创新生态系统演化过程是基于多项核心技术,围绕系列化产品,通过打造开放创新平台、搭建教育生态体系等多种互动共生模式,在不同发展阶段结合技术、产品、市场、竞争等多维度的情况为创新生态系统的构建进程选择匹配的速度和程度,使之沿着“最小完备单元→核心技术与产品→开放创新平台”的路径升级,逐步将各个创新主体纳入其创新生态系统之中,拓展了自身的企业边界,实现了对产业环境中多种资源的有效整合,达成了多个主体之间、主体与环境之间的有机统一,进而实现了共生式跨组织创新。
The civilian drone industry is China’s representative high-end manufacturing industry, in which China leads the development across the globe. DJI is the global leader in drone manufacturing. Therefore, looking deep into the case of DJI from the perspective of corporate innovation ecosystem can help explore the success factors of the broader high-tech manufacturing industry in China. The enlightenment provides a reference for domestic companies to practice and build their own innovation ecosystem.This paper attempts to explore the structure and evolutionary mechanism of innovation ecosystem in the civilian drone industry, through a case study on DJI, the industry leader. The findings indicate that DJI first developed a number of core technologies to build a series of products. Then, by different symbiotic models such as creating an open innovation platform and developing an educational ecosystem, DJI took advantage of its internal and external resources to pick its pace and degree in building its innovation ecosystem at different stage, based on the combination of its core technologies with products, market, and competition. It followed a “smallest complete unit → core technologies and products → open innovation ecosystem” upgrade path, incorporating each innovation subject into its innovation ecosystem step by step, hence expanding its corporate boundaries. This effectively achieved an organic unity between the main innovation body and its environment, eventually realizing a cross-organizational innovation.
