本文分作品与作品分析两部分。本作品以父亲真实人生经历为主线，讲述了一个青少年在经历过60年代“上山下乡”的磨砺之后，在70年代从乡村走进中医药大学，毕业后成为一名中医的过程。本文着重介绍了一个年轻人对祖国传统医学认识的转变，从对学中医一窍不通到满腹经纶，从对学中医非常排斥到赞不绝口，从一个对中医一窍不通的门外汉到医术娴熟的老中医的人生经历，文章中穿插描写了几位私塾出身的老中医的医者风骨，在逆境当中仍抱持“仁心仁术”的传统医家精神。文章中的主人公父亲就是跟随着我国近代几乎是最后一批出身私塾教育的老先生成长起来的，这些近代历经丝素教育的老先生们的人品与医术在潜移默化地影响着本文中的父亲，在中医领域苦心孤诣地钻研了四十年的成长过程。文本以一个中医医生的成长为主线，但同时也展现了中国传统医学的博大宽广，有翔实的资料说明了中医自从三十年代以来，受到西学东渐的影响，逐渐被边缘化的过程，以及建国后我国中医从业人员良莠不齐的状况，探讨了“师带徒”的中医传承历程的价值；通过中医理论的展示，我们可以看得出，基于东方哲学的中医理论对中医诊疗的决定性根基。作品分析部分，从背景、意义、采访与写作整体阐述作品创作的过程；亦有对采访写作的问题和不足做了反思；笔者手记部分表达了笔者的个人情感及创作中的体验。
The essay is classified in two parts. One part is the article work, the other part is the work analysis. This article work basing on the clue of writer’s father’s true life experience, tell about the story of he becoming a Chinese traditional medicine doctor, through the suffering in country-side and going to university after that. The article mainly says a young man’s recognition transform towards his homeland’s traditional medicine. He became a senior doctor from a blank sheet. In this article also introduced some other excellent Chinese traditional medicine old doctors the protagonist met in his early-life, and these figures showed their noble and mercy spirit characteristics. The protagonist’s growing path of being a Chinese traditional medicine doctor followed these old doctors. These old doctors’ skill and spirit influenced the protagonist. And then the protagonist dived into researching Chinese traditional medicine for more than 40 years.This article in one side says about a doctor’s growing experience, on the other side introduce Chinese traditional medicine’s modern time’s role transforming. From 1930s, impacted by western world’s science and medicine, Chines local traditional medicine went into marginalized trend. The skill-level of current Chinese traditional doctors is a serious problem. From this article, we we see that the traditional doctor’s education way’s value and eastern philosophy’s key foundation value for Chinese traditional medicine. In the essay analysis part, introduce the creative process including background, significance, writing skill, and also including the lacking points of the essay. In the writer’s notes part，express writer’s personal emotion and experience.
