本论文为中国传统色彩的专题研究,重点研究的是中国传统色彩系统观念的自然演化、目的性设计以及与此相关的中国传统色彩运用、观念演化过程中的色彩事件。通过从中国历代史料及出土文物、古代图像出发,寻求一种有关“中国传统色彩系统观念的文化想象”,并由此探讨中国传统色彩系统观念的可能成因及建构机制。研究的目的在于梳理出一个中国传统色彩系统观念的基础成因,也因此在所涉及的时段选择上,从基础生成的先秦出发经由秦汉、两晋南北朝以至中国传统文化最终成型的唐、宋时期。中国传统色彩的运用有着一个华夏文化强烈影响下的以观念介入为主导的色彩系统的存在。色彩系统的建构中有着极为明确的政治、伦理、文化目的性。这些都体现在了最初的五方正色和间色的观念性色彩系统的基础成型,并由此被纳入五行观念之中,更因此以五德终始说介入到了有关王朝更替的历史进程中。在这过程之中,五行色彩的象征意义因为王朝更替时的政治考虑产生了一个影响深刻的由革命的“五行相克”到禅让的“五行相生”的观念转换,这可以说是中国思想史、造物史的一个重要事件。而与此同时并存的是作为色彩系统的建构模式中正色和间色的身份转换现象的存在。即没有一个色彩的伦理身份是稳固不动的,在适当的情况的下,间色和正色之间是可以发生身份转换的,比如在历时性色彩系统“天玄地黄(纁)”以及共时性的“五方正色--间色”的关系中,高等级系统的“正”和低等级系统的“间”使得作为个体色彩的“五方正色”自动地转换成为了“间色”。同样的情况也出现在了宋明帝“紫衣红裳”的冕服色彩运用以及由隋唐开始的等级色彩进一步强调下的品官服色制度上。在这种状况底下,色彩的运用在生活世界中产生了围绕着等级色彩的“禁僭”现象,而与此同时就是那些在禁用之外的色彩的繁盛发展,也就是所谓的更低等级色彩“间色之间色”的存在,它们于是呈现在了诗歌、文学、绘画、生活器用的色彩表现上。中国的传统色彩运用的核心就是“观念”,色彩观念在这里是一种目的性设计,并由此形成了一种独立的色彩系统观念,而中国传统色彩也由此获得了独立于西方色彩体系之外的身份存在。
The paper is concerned with the analysis of Chinese traditional colour. This research focuses on the evolution, purpose and events associated with the Chinese traditional systematic concept of colour.Through archaeological evidence and through the historical document, it is going to find out Chinese traditional concept of colour in cultural Imagination, and explore the possible causes and the mechanism of Chinese traditional systematic concept of colour.The purpose of this study is to find the fundamental sequence of causes that Chinese traditional systematic concept of color develops, stating dating pre-Qin to Tang Song period.In the use of Chinese traditional colors, there is a color system, which is strongly influenced by Chinese culture, and dominated by ideas.Clear political, moral, cultural aims lie in the construction of systematic concept of colors.There aims manifests themselves in a number of different ways in dynasty subrogation. First, a system of colors that express ideas is founded, which is called Five Pure Colors and Blended Colors. Then the system is included in the Five Elements Theory. At last, it is included in the Cycle of Five Virtues. As The Cycle of Five Virtues, political, moral, cultural aims are involved in the historic process. During this process, out of political considerations in dynasty subrogation, the symbolism of Five Elements~ color changes its meaning from mutual creation to destruction among the five elements. This change takes an important part in China ideological history and Creation History.At the same time, the phenomenon of pure and blended colors transformation exist in the construction of systematic concept of colors. So none of color’s identity is permanent. If appropriate, For example, in the synchronic system “Tianxuan –Dihuang” and the diachronic system “Five Pure Colors and Blended Colors”, the “pure color” in the high – level system and the “blended color” in the low – level system make the “Five Pure Colors” as independent colors automatically change into “blended color”. The same happens when “violet and red cloth” is used in Songming emperor period and when a rigid hierarchy of color is used in official robes since Sui and Tang dynasty. In this case “Forbidden and Transgression” happened in the use of colors; On the other hand, the color which is not be forbade has grown rapidly, it is also called “blended color between blended color”. These are illustrated in the colors in poetry, literature, painting and artistic handicrafts.Idea is the core of the way how to use Chinese traditional colors. The concept of colors is a kind of design with purposefulness, and it quickly fell into a pattern. So Chinese traditional colors is an independent system, unlike the system of Western society.
