The foreign investment, private capital, state-owned capital all can fully participate in the competition.However, whether in the era of escort by the government, or the market competition fierce market environment, during the 23 years, XCMG Co., Ltd always keeps the industry leader position. And also the XCMG Co., Ltd hosts for a series of independent innovation. Some product technology such as crane technology reaches the world-class level. At the same time, through the technology introduction- digestion-absorption, five core components have reached the domestic first-class level. In this process how did XCMG Co., Ltd obtain and maintain competitive advantage to keep continuous growing up?This paper mainly use case analysis method to summarize the enterprise growth process of construction machinery industry. First, by analyzing the history of the development of XCMG Co., Ltd, its competitive advantages have always changed. They are changed according to the market situation at that time, the enterprise owned resources. This process was a trial and error process. And we also explain the relationship between the XCMG Co., Ltd’s scale and the characteristics of the technology innovation.
