摘要

城市“文化空间消费”是特定的城市阶层,在特定的城市建成环境中,以空间的“文化感”为消费对象的社会活动的总称。在全球跨文化消费的语境下,伴随着社会生产力的提高,人民收入的增加,以及社会阶层结构的转变,“文化空间消费”逐渐成为一种流行的都市生活现象。它对于主体(消费者)而言是一种彰显个人品味与情趣的文化消费行为,而他对于客体(文化空间)而言是当代社会经济变革语境下的一种新的都市空间生产方式。本文主要从后者的视角展开讨论。文化空间消费对城市文化空间的演变有巨大的影响,研究这一现象具有很大的学术价值和指导意义。 本文从城市社会学的视野出发,运用实例观察结合理论分析的方法,试图阐明城市“文化空间消费”的作用机制。本文先从“文化空间”“文化消费”“文化空间消费”的概念出发,对相关理论进行归纳与综述,再从城市文化空间消费现状入手,以南锣鼓巷和什刹海这两个北京城市“文化空间消费”典型实例为具体研究对象,通过对它们的空间特征、人群特征、功能特征和政府干预等四个方面进行描述分析与比较总结,归纳出城市“文化空间消费”的生成和发展机制,进而提出对我国当代城市文化空间建设的三点建议:适时适地开发;合理塑造空间符号与文化符号;协调社会矛盾,传承文化。 本文的主要贡献在于综合运用了文化人类学、文化符号学、空间社会学、建筑学等多学科的研究方法,总结出一套系统的城市“文化空间消费”生成发展机制。同时,本文对南锣鼓巷和什刹海进行了详实的观察、调研和分析,为我国城市文化空间建设研究积累了大量一手资料。

“The consumption of cultural space” in cities is a general term for social activities which originate from particular social class and urban environment, and take the cultural sense of urban space as the object of consumption. Under the context of global inter-cultural consumption, with the growth of social productivity and personal income, as well as the changes in urban social structure, "cultural space consumption" has become a popular phenomenon of contemporary urban life。For consumer, " The consumption of urban cultural space " is a kind of comsuming activities. And for the urban cultural environment, it’s a new production mode of space. This paper mainly focus on the latter perspective. The consumption of urban cultural space will greatly influence the development of urban cultural space, so the research on this topic has high academic value and can serve as a useful guide for practice. This thesis uses case study and theoretical analysis to explore the formation mechanisms of “the consumption of urban cultural space” in the perspective of urban sociology. In detail, this thesis starts from the current status of "cultural space consumption", shows the observation, analysis and comparison of Nanluoguxiang and Shichahai, two classic examples in Beijing, and summary the general factors that would influence the development of “the consumption of urban cultural space”. This would help urban planner to find the better solutions to the problem of urban cultural space development in the future. The main contribution of this thesis is that it is the very first attempt to comprehensively study “the consumption of urban cultural space”and to give a systematic analysis of its development mechanisms using the methodology of cultural anthropology, cultural semiotics, space sociology and architecture. It also includes a thorough survey and analysis on Nanluoguxiang and Shichahai, which can provide valuable first-hand records of the urban space transformation in contemporary China.
